Job Summary:

The Defence Collective Singapore Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician/Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Centre Management System Support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, exhibits, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily startup and shutdown of facilities, exhibits, attractions, and projection systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, exhibition, and gallery equipment, HVAC, and mechanical repairs.
  • Monitor and maintain building systems, such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), fire protection, and security systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors, vendors, and service providers for specialized repairs, installations, or renovations.
  • Set up logistics for events and daily organized visits, including AV systems, furniture, and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory levels of supplies, tools, and materials needed for facility maintenance and repair activities.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages, equipment failures, fire emergencies/incidents, or building damage.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of facilities technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.

Requirements:

  • N-Level/O Level/NITEC/Professional Certificate.
  • Preferable with 1 year working experience in similar roles. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including proficiency in clear, concise, and compelling oral and written communication in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure, managing multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities while dealing with changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or facility management software for work order management and asset tracking.
  • Physical stamina and mobility to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays, with flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
