Key Responsibilities:

  • This internship program allows participants to gain experience across various Business Units and functions, contributing to meaningful projects that present real challenges. Opportunities exist in Engineering roles within R&D, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and other areas. Specific internship assignments will be tailored to align with the candidate's skills, interests, and organizational needs.

Education and Experience:
Candidate should be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in their Junior or Senior year, in fields such as Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Bioengineering. Completion of courses in engineering mechanics and mechanical design is advantageous.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to thrive in a laboratory setting. Must be hands-on, highly motivated, and capable of adhering to procedures, conducting tests, and effectively communicating data findings.
  • A strong desire to gain relevant industry experience, particularly in the healthcare and medical device sectors, is beneficial.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Solidworks or Creo Parametric is preferred.
  • Candidates must maintain good academic standing (3.0 GPA or equivalent).
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required; some exceptions may apply.
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and refine designs based on specified requirements.
  • Conduct testing on new designs (including functional and mechanical testing) and generate innovative ideas for device enhancements based on test outcomes.
  • Assist in documenting concerns within the production department and support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues.
  • Provide documentation assistance and complete written reports regarding testing and design processes.
  • Actively engage in design reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety guidelines) and take appropriate measures to ensure safety for oneself and others, as well as environmental protection and pollution prevention.
