Job Title: Site Machinist Specialist

Overview:
A challenging opportunity has arisen for an experienced and skilled site machinist to join our team. As a Site Machinist Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various machining tasks, including on-site grinding, flange facing, X-Y milling, boring, and drilling jobs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform on-site machining, flange facing, X-Y milling, boring, and drilling jobs with high precision and accuracy.
2. Lead as a team leader and perform in-situ grinding on crankshaft crankpin, fillet re-grinding & main journal and annealing of crankpin.
3. Interpret customer drawings, dimensions & tolerances and requirements, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards.
4. Prepare and pack tools for the job and arrange transport through SCM departments.
5. On completion of inspection, record dimensions with reports on both hard and soft copy using templates, providing repair recommendations.
6. Attend VSCC meetings in yards and arrange yard entries when required.
7. Prepare daily site reports with photographs and send them to the office by the end of each day via email.
8. Regularly follow up on permits, gate passes, and safety inductions, renewing them as and when they are about to expire.
9. Timely and professionally handle service calls and issues arising from field visits.
10. Complete and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner.
11. Perform daily & preventive maintenance of equipment.
12. Execute all tasks with prescribed safety equipment in place and comply with OSHA rules.
13. Prioritize safety for yourself and your colleagues, following the company's environment, health and safety policy strictly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. At least ITE certificate or O' Level qualification.
2. At least 2 years related working experience.
3. Technical knowledge and basic analytical skills in dealing with machining variances.

Working Environment:
This role requires excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. You must demonstrate the ability to handle work professionally, independently, and efficiently, while being quality conscious and able to meet productivity goals. Additionally, you should be able to travel overseas as required.
