The role of a Chef de Partie involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment to prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists. This position requires the ability to work well under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare special meals or substitute items as required
- Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters to ensure optimal cooking conditions
- Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator for later use
- Evaluate and adjust portion sizes, arrangement, and food garnish to meet quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of food usage and inventory levels
- Communicate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service
Requirements:
This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related culinary position. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a related culinary position
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues
