The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and preparing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), equipment layouts, and gas distribution schematics based on project specifications and industry standards.
Draft mechanical and process drawings for gas systems using AutoCAD or relevant 2D/3D design software. Work closely with project engineers and sales teams to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with internal and client requirements. Support the design and layout of custom gas cabinets, gas boxes, and related high-purity equipment.
Maintain up-to-date drawing records and documentation in line with engineering change procedures. Coordinate with production and procurement teams for design clarification and BOM (Bill of Materials) generation.
Requirements- A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- 2–5 years of relevant design experience in the semiconductor, high-purity gas, or process engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of P&ID and mechanical drafting standards.
- Proficient in AutoCAD & BIM software.
- Familiarity with gas distribution systems and semiconductor facility design will be an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple drafting tasks under tight timelines.
- Good team player with strong communication and coordination skills.
