Clinical Veterinary Nurse Position

Dr Paws Vet Care is seeking a full-time Clinical Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team of animal care professionals. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in our state-of-the-art veterinary clinic.

  • Patient Care: Our team works collaboratively to ensure the highest standard of patient care. You will work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other support staff to provide comprehensive care to animals requiring medical treatment or surgery.
  • Diagnostic Support: Your skills and expertise as a Clinical Veterinary Nurse will be essential in supporting diagnostic procedures and ensuring accurate test results.
  • Surgical Assistance: As part of our surgical team, you will assist veterinarians during surgeries and perform tasks as directed.

  • Client Communication: Effective communication with pet owners is crucial in our practice. You will be responsible for discussing test results, treatments, and any necessary follow-up care with clients.
  • Animal Restraint: Your role may involve restraining animals for examination or treatment, while always prioritizing their safety and well-being.
  • Administrative Support: You will be expected to maintain accurate records, prepare medications, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
  • Clinic Maintenance: Assisting with daily cleaning and maintenance of the clinic to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Emergency Care: You may be called upon to respond to emergency situations, such as animal accidents or injuries outside regular working hours.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and professional attitude toward both animals and their owners.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Veterinary Technology.
  • Prior experience in the animal industry.
