Key Responsibilities

Provide engineering support to production and execute Manufacturing Engineering tasks aimed at developing, maintaining, and enhancing manufacturing processes and methods that meet business and customer standards for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead time (SQCD). Health, Safety, and Environment - Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with Health, Safety & Environmental regulations and align with the Zero Harm initiative. Product Safety - Guarantee that manufacturing processes consistently achieve and maintain design specifications, ensuring compliance with product standards. Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve safety-related concerns. Quality Assurance - Foster a culture of zero defects within the organization. Collaborate with various functions to mitigate risks and ensure products are manufactured Right First Time. Adhere to all relevant company policies and legislative standards, including RRMS, SABRe, and Export Control regulations. Technical Oversight - Ensure the application of manufacturing process controls within designated areas, with authorization granted as per appropriate delegation. Serve as MEA or PCA signatory when applicable. Process Improvement - Identify and pursue opportunities for new or enhanced manufacturing processes, digital systems, and technologies to meet current and future demands. Project Management - Plan and oversee activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting, while communicating status updates to relevant stakeholders. Address issues and risks to meet project timelines. Capability Development - Design, implement, validate, maintain, and continuously enhance manufacturing processes and digital systems that fulfill safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead time requirements. Analyze data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capabilities of manufacturing processes. Best Practices - Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering Commodity Leaders and Manufacturing Process Owners to drive processes towards recognized best practices. Knowledge Sharing - Engage with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems. Document and share best practices through participation in relevant Communities of Practice. Talent Development - Take responsibility for personal development to meet the competencies required for the role. Actively seek to expand knowledge and experience to enhance effectiveness in existing and new tasks. Provide coaching and technical support to colleagues within your area of expertise. External Relations - Build and maintain productive relationships with partners and suppliers to achieve shared objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

A degree in Engineering is preferred. A solid understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the industry. Familiarity with Manufacturing Systems and supporting software tools pertinent to the business. Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes applicable to the role.
