About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Energy Specialist to join our team in Singapore. The selected candidate will work alongside professionals based in Washington, DC and throughout the region, carrying out policy dialogue and managing ongoing lending portfolio and analytical programs for China and other countries in the EAP region.

The successful candidate will lead or contribute to policy dialogue and advisory work, focusing on energy transition and sector reforms, particularly in IBRD countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or contribute to policy dialogue and advisory work with national and provincial authorities, covering energy transition, power sector reforms, renewable energy integration, and more.
  • Conduct analytical and advisory work to inform strategic engagement, policy dialogue, and business development.
  • Contribute to business development and preparation of lending operations in the energy sector, facilitating energy transition and sector reforms.
  • Support implementation of energy operations, enhancing quality in portfolio management and accelerating implementation progress.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in engineering, energy planning/economics, finance/business administration, or equivalent areas relevant for energy sector development.
  • At least 8 years of combined work experience in the energy sector, with a track record of successful engagement with complex projects.
  • Solid understanding of energy policies, technologies, strategies, and reform agendas needed for energy transition.
