Embedded Software Engineer Opportunity
  • As a senior embedded software engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing firmware projects from conception to delivery. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate with architects, hardware teams, and other stakeholders to create innovative solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:


  1. Designing, developing, coding, and documenting larger modules as part of firmware projects.
  2. Rich experience in embedded SoC software development and debug environment setup.
  3. Collaborating with relevant architects, software and hardware teams to finalize the system level solutions and modularize the firmware development works.
  4. Utilizing low-level C coding techniques when developing codebases, following coding standards and best practices.
  5. Reading schematics, utilizing oscilloscopes, digital analyzers, and other test equipment in the development and debugging of firmware designs.
  6. Having fundamental knowledge about the operating system and its common drivers, especially understanding basics of RTOS.
  7. Having fundamental knowledge about inter-chip communications in heterogenous processor environment, and able to use OpenAMP or RPC such techniques.
  8. Understanding storage devices/controller (i.e. SAS, SATA etc.) driver, protocols and firmware design is a plus.
  9. Understanding power management at system level and OS power management handling is a plus, especially familiar with PMIC firmware.
  10. Understanding the virtualization techniques on server environment is a plus.

To be successful in this role, you should have:


  1. A minimum degree in Bachelors Engineering in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related field or equivalent experience on embedded systems.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  3. Experience with implementing embedded operating systems such as Linux, FreeRTOS on target hardware.
  4. Demonstrated experience with C/C++/assembly language programming.
  5. Demonstrated experience with ability of problem analysis and solving.
  6. Familiar with RISC-V/ARM ISA is a plus.
  7. Good team player and be able to prioritize the tasks and delivery the modalized development work.
