Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Nursing Quality and Safety
    • Ensure a high standard of clinical quality and service excellence for residents and sponsors.
    • Lead the implementation of evidence-based practices to achieve zero falls, medication errors, pressure ulcers, and infections.
  • Clinical Care
    • Provide safe and effective care to residents, including assessment, medication administration, and wound management.
    • Order, pack, and prepare medications for residents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Document resident care accurately and thoroughly, meeting Ministry of Health requirements.
  • Clinical Supervision
    • Provide guidance and supervision to staff members, ensuring adherence to Enhanced Nursing Home Standards (ENHS) guidelines and protocols.
    • Support the development of junior staff nurses, enrolled nurses, and other team members.
  • Residents' Activities
    • Plan and coordinate daily activities for residents, maintaining accurate log-books.
    • Collaborate with physiotherapists and therapists to develop rehabilitation programs for residents.
  • Resource Management
    • Contribute to the efficient management of food costs, reducing waste and optimizing consumable use.
    • Maintain inventory control, ensuring regular inspections and proper stock levels.
  • Medical Matters
    • Work closely with medical doctors to review and manage resident conditions.
  • Feedback Management
    • Assist in investigating and resolving feedback and complaints from residents and sponsors.
  • Other Duties
    • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by senior nurse managers or nurse managers.
    • Act as a liaison with hospitals and resident sponsors for daily medical appointments.
    • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe resident care environment.
    • Deputize for senior nurse managers or nurse managers in their absence.
    • Maintain accurate log-books for daily activities.
    • Develop strong communication skills with residents and sponsors.
    Requirements
    • Locally trained: Degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Nursing with a valid license from the Singapore Nursing Board.
    • Foreign trained: Degree or Diploma in Nursing with a Board Pass (Professional Regulation Council).
    • State Registered Nurse with a valid practicing license issued by the Singapore Nursing Board.
    • Valid certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
    • At least 2-3 years of post-registration experience, with exposure to geriatric care settings.
    Preferred Qualities
    • Passionate and caring attitude.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Team player with analytical thinking and decision-making abilities.
