Job Description:

As a Homeroom Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons to students in Lower Elementary from 4 to 8 years old. You will work closely with colleagues to create a supportive and stimulating environment that fosters academic, social, and emotional growth.

  • Key Responsibilities: ">
  • Create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful, and stimulating environment conducive to student learning.">
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons and activities that motivate, inspire, and improve student achievement.">
  • Work collaboratively with the Grade Level and Assistant Principal for the Bilingual Programme in planning units of work with clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes.">
  • Engage in professional dialogue around assessment data and differentiation of curriculum to meet the needs of students.">
  • Ensure thorough knowledge of pedagogy and strategies associated with instruction in a bilingual setting.">
  • Support the transition of students from their current grade level to the next.">
  • Administer and analyze assessments within the Bilingual programme, ensuring accurate recording, analysis, and use of data to plan future teaching and learning.">
  • Report on student progress outlining content covered, results of formative and summative assessments, and next steps in learning.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Teaching Language and Literature, Elementary Education, or Bilingual Education.">
  • At least 3 years of international school teaching experience.">
  • Complete fluency in either English or Chinese.">
  • Proven experience of teaching in a Bilingual Programme at a range of grade levels.">
