Senior Nutrition Specialist - Full-time Opportunity

 Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cook to support the growth, health and happiness of young learners by preparing nutritious meals and snacks in our centre. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a focus on healthy eating and excellent communication skills. This role requires the ability to work effectively within a team environment, with a strong attention to detail and physical stamina to handle kitchen tasks.

 Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Healthy Meal Plans and Menus: Design and prepare menus that meet dietary guidelines and exceed customer expectations.
  • Prepare Large Portions of Food: Prepare large portions of food using fresh ingredients, including chopping, cutting, cooking, washing, peeling and presenting dishes.
  • Ensure Strict Adherence to Food Safety and Hygiene Standards: Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in kitchen and dining areas.
  • Presentation of Food: Present food in an appealing manner, encouraging positive eating habits among children.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with team members to accommodate children's dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Maintain Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain kitchen cleanliness and upkeep of equipment, including washing utensils.
 Requirements:
  • Previous Experience Cooking for Children or Groups: Previous experience cooking for children or groups is essential.
  • Valid Food Safety Certificate: A valid Food Safety Certificate is required.
  • Physical Ability: Physical ability to handle kitchen tasks, including lifting heavy pots, pans and containers.
  • Strong Sense of Responsibility, Cleanliness and Attention to Detail: A strong sense of responsibility, cleanliness and attention to detail is necessary.
