Faculty Position in Spanish Language Instruction

The Centre for Modern Languages is seeking a highly qualified lecturer to teach introductory to advanced Spanish courses at the tertiary level.

The successful candidate will have experience in teaching Spanish language and literature, as well as expertise in curriculum design, multimedia course materials development, and new technologies in language instruction.

We are looking for an individual with a proven track-record in teaching, curriculum design, and knowledge of current trends in second/foreign language teaching methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish language and literature courses at the tertiary level
  • Develop and implement curriculum design for Spanish language courses
  • Design and develop multimedia course materials
  • Stay up-to-date with current trends in second/foreign language teaching methodologies

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Spanish as a foreign/second language, Spanish Linguistics or in Spanish studies
  • Native proficiency in written and spoken Spanish
  • Experienced and demonstrated excellence in teaching Spanish
  • Ability to coordinate large courses
  • Proficiency in English (CEFR C1)
