About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Trust and Safety team as a Senior Risk Management Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating and mitigating high-harm trends on our platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address gaps in our systems and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and profile high-harm trends and threat actors, identifying actionable solutions to prevent abuse and protect our users.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies, working closely with policy, product, and engineering teams to ensure effective mitigation of high-harm trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address gaps in our systems and controls, driving cross-functional projects to improve controls and tools.
  • Employ hypothesis-based approaches and evidence-driven investigation to develop insights and drive decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, applying knowledge to inform risk management strategies and improve platform safety.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Humanities, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or Computer Science.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in relevant domains, such as Trust and Safety, Risk Management, Investigations, Anti-Fraud, or Cyber Security.
  • Proven experience in investigating high-harm trends and threat actors, with a strong understanding of online behavior and data generated on social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning, with the ability to apply knowledge to inform risk management strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Long-term view towards risk trends, with the ability to co-create with stakeholders a roadmap to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to perform essential risk lifecycle activities, including identify, assess, monitor, and review.
  • Familiarity with tools and techniques used in large-scale platforms, including feature engineering, metrics development, and visualization.
  • Understanding of technology and its capabilities and limitations when designing defenses and processes.
