The role of a Data Centre Operator involves ensuring the smooth operation of data centre facilities. This includes overseeing the mechanical and electrical systems, monitoring tools, and network infrastructure.
A minimum NITEC in IT related discipline or Recognized Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering / Information Systems is required for this position. Additionally, a minimum 3 years' experience in Data Center Operation is necessary to succeed in this role.
Technical knowledge of data centre monitoring tools and working knowledge of data centre mechanical and electrical systems are also essential. Basic knowledge of Windows Server operating system and network infrastructure is desirable.
Furthermore, basic knowledge on Windows 10 and M365 apps such as Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, etc. is expected. Self-driven individuals who can work independently are ideal candidates for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and maintaining data centre facilities
- Ensuring mechanical and electrical systems are functioning properly
- Managing network infrastructure and monitoring tools
- Collaborating with team members to achieve operational goals
Required Skills and Qualifications
