Key Responsibilities




  • Partner with Commercial Site OSMs to develop and oversee facility strategies, including real estate portfolio management, facilities, environment, health and safety, capital spending, and expenses for Boston Scientific in the APAC region.
  • Optimize the company's real estate assets to support business objectives, minimize costs, and provide innovative, efficient, and safe working environments for employees.
  • Develop and implement facilities management strategies that adhere to global standards and are cost-effective, safe, and valued by internal Business Units and employees.
  • Engage and participate in Global Real Estate, Facilities, and Environment, Health and Safety (GREFAC & EHS) Communities of Practice, Centers of Excellence, and build relationships with facility leads at each commercial site in APAC.


Real Estate




  • Develop and execute APAC inputs to the Global Facilities Master Plan (GFMP) process to ensure governance of BSC Facilities Capex.
  • Establish strong collaborative relationships with Site OSM leads to track Site Master Plans (SMP), real estate and facilities projects, and evaluate capacity and space utilization at each site.
  • Oversee real estate development, acquisition, and disposition in accordance with organizational guidelines and expectations.


Workplace Strategy




  • Collaborate with other departments to develop workplace strategies that promote employee productivity, well-being, and collaboration.
  • Ensure projects are carried out in accordance with the latest BSC Global Design Guidelines.
  • Develop and implement APAC Workplace Strategy initiatives to ensure customer satisfaction and best utilization of space for BSC global real estate portfolio.


Capital Projects




  • Manage annual GFMP planning cycle, capital allocations, CERA process, and monthly finance review with finance, country, and site leaders.
  • Administer operational expenses and capital budgets for assigned sites in alignment with GFMP and site objectives.


Facilities Operations




  • Oversee building maintenance programs within the region.
  • Deploy and sustain soft services, including janitorial, catering, security, and manage facilities wheel of spend.
  • Utilize Business Essentials to improve equipment performance, facility operating costs, energy conservation, waste reduction, and quality of facility operations.


Environment




  • Partner with the Global Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) and EHS Team to oversee the APAC Green Team and APAC Environment Strategic Plan.
  • Liaise with the Global Energy team to determine the energy and carbon footprint of real estate.
  • Ensure regional participation in sustainability programs, including life cycle analysis, waste reduction, and water conservation.


Health & Safety




  • Collaborate with the Regional EHS Council to deliver Health and Safety programs in the region.
  • Work with the Site OSM and Global EHS to establish long-term health and safety plans aligned with Global requirements and site needs.
  • Facilitate the establishment of country-specific Health and Safety compliance registers and ensure adequate emergency response plans are in place.


Acquisitions & Integrations




  • Link newly acquired locations with the GREFAC EHS function to drive alignment of site infrastructure and activities to global standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining Facilities-related workstream in APAC Acquisition playbook.


Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or at least 10-15 years of industry experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Medical device industry or other regulated industry experience.
  • Multi-APAC country and culture working experience.
  • Relevant experience in facilities management in APAC.
  • Relevant experience and proven results in project management and budget management.
  • Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and credibility.
  • Ability to work independently, highly organized, and self-driven.
  • Excellent MS application skills.
  • Excellent communication and fluency in both verbal and written English and other Asian languages highly desirable.
  • A willingness to work flexibly across different time zones and travel in APAC.
