Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chassis Mechanic to join our team at Allied Container (Engineers & Manufacturers) PTE LTD. As a Chassis Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing daily inspections, repairs, and maintenance of trailer chassis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Repair Trailer Chassis: Conduct daily inspections of trailer chassis to identify any defects or damage. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the trailer is in good working condition.
  • Troubleshoot and Diagnose Issues: Use your technical expertise to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with trailer chassis. Identify the root cause of problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Communicate with Management: Maintain open communication with management to ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Work Independently: Work independently to complete tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Meet Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the job, including prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: At least an ITE, GCE O level certificate or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in trailer/chassis mechanics, usage, and customary repair methods.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of welding, torch use, and fabrication techniques. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.
Working Conditions
  • Location: West (Tuas)
  • Working Days/Hours: 5.5 days, Monday to Friday: 8am to 5pm, Saturday: 8am to 12pm
