NTU (Nanyang Technology University) invites applications for a Part-time Lecturer position in DV3011 Typography III. The successful candidate will teach an undergraduate course starting in August 2025.

In this advanced level course, students will explore the boundaries of typography through experimentation and personal expression. They will investigate alternative and unconventional methods of creating typography and challenge traditional notions of what typography is and can be.

The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree or PhD in Visual Communication or a related field with a proven track record of production and creative practice in media. Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred, but not required. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication and relevant industry experience may also be considered.

Course Overview:

  • This course helps students develop skills and knowledge for creating original type design solutions, which they can apply in further study or professional settings.
  • Students will test the limits of typography through experimentation and personal expression.
  • They will explore alternative and unconventional methods of creating typography and challenge traditional notions of what typography is and can be.
