Senior Data Architect Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of our enterprise big data platform. This is an exceptional opportunity for a visionary leader who can shape the future of our data infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and capable of supporting our growing analytics and machine learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Roadmap: Define and own the long-term technical roadmap for the modernized enterprise big data platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and leveraging AI capabilities.
  • Architectural Leadership: Lead the design and governance of robust, scalable, and secure end-to-end data solutions, establishing and enforcing architectural standards.
  • Team Development: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of data architects and engineers, fostering growth and innovation.
  • Technology Innovation: Evaluate, prototype, and recommend new big data, cloud, and AI tools and frameworks to enhance platform capabilities and optimize costs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical advisor for product, engineering, and business leaders, translating complex business requirements into scalable technical designs and collaborating with IT and other components from a data perspective.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive strategy for platform reliability, performance, and automation, championing initiatives for system resilience, operational efficiency, and observability.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or software development, with at least 3 years in a principal architect or technical leadership role managing a team.
  • Proven track record of designing, building, and operating large-scale, distributed data platforms in a cloud environment (AWS).
  • Expert-level knowledge of big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark and real-time streaming technologies such as Apache Flink and Kafka.
  • Deep expertise with modern data warehousing and lakehouse architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, ClickHouse).
  • Strong command of at least one programming language such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Tableau, or Looker.
