Scientific Technician II

As a skilled Scientific Technician II, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Science department. Your primary responsibilities will include providing technical and clerical assistance to teachers, maintaining laboratory supplies, and ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage laboratory supplies, including inventory and forecasting, to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist with purchasing and delivering supplies, keeping track of budget expenditures and coordinating with teachers and department leadership.
- Set up and break down division Science Labs, preparing for technological integration, chemical mixing, and biological specimen preparation.
- Work with technology applications, staying current on emerging technologies related to job responsibilities.
- Report and coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding equipment malfunctions and facility issues.
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- Diploma from a recognized polytechnic or equivalent.
- Background in Science, preferably with experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Google Apps, and ability to learn new applications.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Positive work attitude and initiative, with a commitment to cooperative teamwork.
