SharePoint Online Developer Position

This is a unique opportunity to work on optimizing the operational status of SharePoint Online tenants serving student and staff intranet communities.

You will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and ensuring optimal operational status of SharePoint Online tenants. This involves working closely with business and academic units, assisting web content owners with creation, access control, and maintenance of intranet sites within portal frameworks.

Your tasks will include attending to operational requests from SharePoint users and admins, ranging from access requests to web development, site migrations, issues/bugs reported, and escalating to Microsoft or appointed support vendors as necessary.

In addition, you will monitor and maintain operational performance of supported systems, put in place relevant governance, and adhere to operational best practices.

You will also understand and implement information security management and data management best practices to maintain system security and integrity.

Using scripts or tools, you will automate reviews of site access permissions, site activities, and ensure operations run based on documented standard operating procedures.

Please note that other duties may be assigned based on organizational requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 4-6 years of experience developing and deploying sites, custom web parts, features, and solutions on SharePoint Online
  • Proven competency in administration, configuration of SharePoint Online, related Microsoft 365 apps, and Azure services
  • Strong technical skills and development experience with SharePoint SPFx framework, C#/.NET, PowerShell, Active Directory/ADFS, JavaScript/jQuery, HTML5/CSS, XML, AJAX, Microsoft Forms & Power Platform

You should have proven capability in development & deployment of web parts, features, custom solutions for SharePoint Online in conjunction with Azure services like CosmoDB, Azure Functions, Entra ID.

A good understanding of information security best practices & governance for SharePoint, .NET, and Microsoft 365 environments is essential.
