This role will drive alignment with cross-functional groups & drive the change implementation process.

About the Job

  • We are looking for a seasoned professional to join our team as an Inventory Control Manager, responsible for reviewing and ensuring proper disposition of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • The ideal candidate will have experience across several operational disciplines in a contract manufacturing environment and possess expertise in high mix, low volume manufacturing, supply chain factory engineering, quality, and program management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and ensure accurate documentation of ECOs and ECRs.
  2. Perform regular system maintenance and audits to guarantee system accuracy.
  3. Prepare status reports of all ECOs and ECRs in process.
  4. Manage the E&O process and financial forecasting process for respective product lines.
  5. Specialize in planning activities involving production control, inventory control, process control, or shop floor control/Material Resources Planning (MRP) integrity.
  6. Obtain alignment from cross-functional groups on the adjusted ECO implementation plan.
  7. Review and approve new buy requests to ensure balance between availability and potential E&O.
  8. Reviews MRP execution and ensures accuracy of information; reconciles supply and demand; validates master scheduling and requirements.
  9. Works with engineers to manage materials for special engineering projects.
  10. Examines material variances, resolves problems where possible, and/or communicates more difficult problems to management.
  11. Assists in setting up new inventory systems or modifying existing systems, when necessary; assigns appropriate expediting duties to expediters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Planning/Inventory control.
  • Proven record of managing and driving continuous process improvement activities.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify root cause for action/resolution, and understanding of Bill of Material management (BOM).
  • Experience working in tier one ERP & PLM systems such as Oracle/SAP/Agile/Teamcenter.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills.
  • Basic: Alphanumeric data entry, spreadsheet.
