Occupational Therapist Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to elderly clients, promoting their independence and enhancing their ability to perform daily activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of occupational therapy services, conducting assessments of clients' functional abilities, and developing individualized therapy plans to improve daily living skills and promote independence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and develop comprehensive therapy plans.
  • Provide expert guidance and supervision to junior therapists and assistants.
  • Recommend appropriate assistive devices and adaptive techniques.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapists, nurses, and healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
  • Educate clients and caregivers on safe management of daily tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
  • At least 2-3 years of clinical experience in geriatric or community-based settings.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and leadership skills.
