Industrial Product Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Product Specialist to join our team. As an Industrial Product Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to production operations and advocating industrial engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide technical support to production operations for areas of product engineering competencies and advocate industrial engineering best practices.
  • Responsible for overall product performance and capability, new product introduction, equipment, and product evolution.
  • Function as the main interface to customers and be responsible for all quality issues of the assigned product.
  • Accountable for product root cause analysis of all quality/process issues by performing 8D analysis and driving reactivity objectives.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Product & Engineering Competencies
    • Accountable and responsible for managing product definition files and configuration.
    • Accountable and responsible for product evolution and staying active in IPT teams.
    • To innovate, improve, implement, evaluate, and sustain engineering processes and capabilities.
    • To advocate engineering best practices supported by multi-functional teams (MFT) and production to improve work processes and optimize operational efficiencies.
    • Responsible for product costs, focusing on design authority fees.
    • Improve internal technical competency, reduce dependence on design authorities, and reduce non-quality costs.
    • Continuously improve R1 and FPY, contributing to non-quality cost reduction.
  • IPT Network Communication & Co-operations
    • Liaise with Design Authorities and IPT for technical matters to support product performance and competitiveness.
  • Technical Support
    • Monitor and escalate support effectiveness to Production Line Managers.
    • Ensure adequate support to operations' requests and provide relevant technical supports for product evolution qualification, capability setup, and other required tasks.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in technical support functions.
  • Experience in the aviation industry is an added advantage.
  • Competence in interactive communication, problem-solving, and decision-making are required.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
