Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare comprehensive manufacturing drawings of electrical switchboards, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Assemble modular drawings based on the panel design, utilizing expertise in mechanical engineering principles.
  • Perform thorough weight, heat loss calculations, and air flow simulations as required, applying analytical skills to optimize results.
  • Prepare detailed material order lists for mechanical parts, considering specifications and inventory levels.
  • Liaise with vendors for material enquiries, fostering effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing and production team, promoting collaboration and shared goals.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma/NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, emphasizing strong foundational knowledge.
  • Proficiency in BIM, VertexG4, and AutoCAD M&E 3D drawings, showcasing expertise in software applications.
  • Mechanical background with 2D and 3D drafting skills, highlighting proficiency in spatial reasoning and visual presentation.
  • Able to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and specifications, recognizing different types of materials/sheet metals used in switchboards.
