Permit Declaration Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily permit declarations, ACES submissions, report preparation, and customer payment collections.
- Coach and train declaration staff to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Liaise with Customs, government agencies, and clients on permit issues, exceptions, and rejections.
- Track declaration turnaround to meet service level commitments.
- Maintain complete records and ensure audit compliance.
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement process updates.
- Support internal and external audits for permits and compliance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related fields is required.
- At least 3 years of working experience in permit declaration or trade compliance is necessary.
- Customs Competency Test for Declarants certification is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Singapore TradeNet, the Customs Act, and FTA documentation processes is essential.
- Proficient with TradeNet front-end declaration software and MS Office.
- Familiar with customs documents: COO, invoices, AWB, HS codes.
- Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and GST exemption rules.
- Experience handling permits for restricted/controlled goods.
- Exposure to air cargo or sea freight operations is an advantage.
