Job Description

We seek an experienced finance professional to join our organization as a Senior Finance Partner. This role will play a critical part in driving operational efficiency and strategic growth across our investments.

This professional will work closely with our portfolio companies to identify and address operational challenges, provide strategic guidance, and focus on value creation in partnership with the portfolio companies (with the objective of increasing shareholder value).

The team also supports talent development, culture building, and developing operational capabilities. This role has flexibility in structuring the position as an employee of the investment firm or as an external senior advisor working on a full-time/part-time basis.

As the finance partner focusing on finance, you will ensure that our portfolio companies have robust, systematic, and forward-looking financial and management accounting systems that allow them to perform optimally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that our portfolio companies have well-developed FP&A infrastructure that supports management and board decision-making and proactive corrective action.
  • Support portfolio companies in developing a culture and process where business and operational performance issues can be quickly identified and escalated for proactive intervention.
  • Work closely with operational units (e.g., CFOs/head of finance) to integrate key drivers of success into the FP&A infrastructure of the portfolio company.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong grasp of financial metrics and their relationship to business outcomes and operational issues is required. Ability to appreciate business drivers and develop proper performance indicators is essential.

Possess good understanding of market trends, customer needs, supply chain, and competitive dynamics to align financial strategies with business objectives and provide strategic insights that drive business success.

Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex projects while being hands-on at the same time.

Excellent relationship-building skills to establish and maintain strong partnerships with portfolio company management teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

Clear communication with different stakeholders to align goals and strategies.

Thriving in ambiguity and complexity; adept at identifying challenges and implementing effective solutions.

Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural environments.
