Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Music Performance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our entertainment department, you will be responsible for selecting and playing recorded music for live audiences at various venues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Selecting and playing music from various genres to suit different events, audiences, or radio shows.
  • Blending music tracks to create a seamless flow and a unique listening experience, often using turntables or digital software.
  • Interacting with the crowd through song requests, announcements, or on-air conversation to keep the energy lively.
  • Setting up, testing, and troubleshooting sound systems, lighting, and other audio equipment.
  • Hosting shows, conducting interviews, promoting events, and acting as an Emcee at parties or clubs.
  • Promoting sponsors during broadcasts.

Requirements:

  • An extensive understanding of different music genres and artists.
  • Skill in using professional audio equipment and digital mixing software.
  • The ability to sense the audience's energy and adjust the music selection accordingly.
  • An outgoing personality and the ability to engage effectively with audiences.

Work Settings:

  • Radio stations: Hosting live shows, delivering news, and interacting with listeners.
  • Nightclubs and bars: Playing music for patrons and maintaining a lively atmosphere.
  • Events: Performing at weddings, festivals, corporate events, and private parties.
  • Online platforms: Broadcasting music through internet radio or streaming services.
