Electrical Quantity Surveyor Role

As a senior electrical quantity surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the project manager in tendering and understanding tender specification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost forecasts and monitor potential cost increases due to change orders.
  • Prepare and issue request for quotations, change orders, and variation orders to contractors.
  • Understand contractual terms and conditions, including bill of quantities.
  • Interpret mechanical material take off and measurements.
  • Conduct price comparisons between contract's bill of quantities and actual scope of work.
  • Negotiate and prepare progress claims as per client comments or instructions.
  • Monitor changes on plans for variation orders.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports to clients and owners.
  • Submit change order requests for client approval.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and ethics on all contractual matters.
  • Liaise with client respective quantity surveyors/contract engineers on contractual matters and progress payments.
  • Verify field work orders before submitting documents for approval by the project manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum degree/diploma in electrical engineering.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in electrical systems, especially in electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of Autocad.
  • Understanding of market updates and construction cost trends.
