About Us

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistive Technology Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring assistive technology services in the organization.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a talented professional to make a real difference in the lives of students with disabilities.

As an Assistive Technology Specialist, you will work closely with our Special Education team to provide training and support on the use of assistive technology devices.

You will also be responsible for coordinating the implementation of assistive technology solutions across the organization, ensuring that they meet the needs of our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement assistive technology plans for students with disabilities
  • Provide training and support to teachers and other staff members on the use of assistive technology devices
  • Coordinate the implementation of assistive technology solutions across the organization
  • Conduct assessments and identify assistive technology needs for students
  • Collaborate with special education teachers to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that incorporate assistive technology
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in assistive technology and share knowledge with colleagues
Requirements
  • Diploma in Special Education or related field
  • At least 3 years' experience working with individuals with disabilities
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing assistive technology plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with assistive technology devices and software
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies
