Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gasoline Trading Operator to join our dynamic team in Singapore. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to advance within the commodity trading sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Formalize trading negotiations by drafting and sending commercial contracts, ensuring coherence and feasibility of negotiated issues.
- Evaluate and estimate all costs derived from transactions and communicate operational data with financial impact on trading results.
- Guarantee satisfactory management of storage, blending, and processing contracts.
- Coordinate logistics of loadings and unloadings by sea and/or overland, minimizing hazards and mishaps.
- Liaise with M&S entities to secure and optimize supply of TOTAL affiliates throughout Asia, Far East-Pacific.
- Follow up on vessels chartered by the Company and optimize rotations and loading plans in connection with Trading/Shipping.
- Ensure vetting procedures for seagoing vessels and barges are respected in compliance with HSE Group rules.
- Nominate service providers essential to contract realization and control accuracy and consistency of obtained results.
- Obtain financial guarantees from counterparts and control/amend them before cargo loading/unloading in connection with Credit department.
- Identify cause of operational problems and activate procedures necessary to their solution in coordination with involved participants.
- Liaise with Loss Control to handle quantitative and qualitative issues.
- Invoice customers and pay suppliers/service providers invoices.
- Secure recovery of funds due in coordination with Financial Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of working experience in gasoline trading operations.
- Knowledge, interest, and curiosity in commodities/trading business.
- Prior experience in storage and blending a plus.
- Rigorous, curious, and reactive mindset with strong commercial acumen and resourcefulness.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to thrive in collaborative environment.
- Proactive approach to development and willingness to initiate new ideas or ways of doing things.
- Good analytical skills and digital mindset.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin.
