The role of a Food Production Specialist involves supporting the culinary team in various essential tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients by performing tasks such as washing and cutting.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hygiene standards throughout the shift.
  • Implement and uphold the 5'S methodology for workplace organization.
  • Contribute to tray assembly during meal preparation.
  • Carry out general cleaning and sanitation duties to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Inspect raw materials prior to the commencement of food processing.
  • Deliver meals to designated areas as required.
  • Ensure food trolleys are sanitized effectively.
  • Prepare and clean up for special events as needed.
  • Verify the quality of ingredients before meal preparation.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is mandatory.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including early morning starts from 4am.
  • Availability for weekend and public holiday shifts is essential.
