Job Description

Backend equipment operations specialists play a crucial role in manufacturing processes by maintaining and supporting various backend equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setup, repairs, and preventive maintenance of equipment at our backend operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment such as laser marking, ball attach, reflow oven, dicing, AOI, tape and reel, and packing stations.
  • Provide line sustaining supports to manufacturing teams by offering machine conversion, device setup, and jig and tool maintenance services.
  • Document and perform equipment preventive maintenance according to established processes and specifications.
  • Support the engineering group in device and recipe creation, equipment buy-off, evaluation, qualification, and new product introduction initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance yield, modify equipment, and improve productivity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma in electrical/electronics/mechanical/mechatronics/chemical/material science or equivalent.
  • Strong interest in semiconductor backend processes and equipment.
  • Prior hands-on experience in semiconductor backend operations or similar high-volume manufacturing environments would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of equipment operation principles, such as laser marking, AOI, dicing, reflow, or packaging, is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Good communication and documentation skills; able to read and interpret equipment manuals, specifications, and technical drawings.
