We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Arbor Scientist.
Job SummaryAs a Senior Arbor Scientist, you will play a key role in our research team focused on improving tree structural stability in urban environments. Your primary responsibilities will include project management, field and laboratory testing, and coordination with research stakeholders and greenery asset managers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead research projects from conceptualization to completion, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Field and Laboratory Testing: Conduct field and laboratory tests to assess tree trunks, roots, and anchorage strength, as well as wind load modeling and measurement for trees.
  • Coordination: Work closely with research stakeholders, greenery asset managers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in tree biomechanics, civil/environmental engineering, forestry, arboriculture, ecology, plant physiology, or related fields.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in scientific computing languages (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) or numerical modeling is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Team player with excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills.
