Job Overview

As an Ambulance Driver, you will play a vital role in Emergency and Medical Transport. Your primary responsibility is to operate ambulances for safe and efficient patient transportation.

You will manage scheduled patient transfers, hospital discharges, and respond to emergency cases as required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Safely drive ambulances to transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
  2. Respond promptly to ad-hoc emergency cases as needed.
  3. Assist medical personnel in loading and unloading patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
  4. Perform routine checks and maintenance of the ambulance to ensure it is in good working condition.
  5. Adhere to traffic laws, safety protocols, and operational procedures to ensure patient, staff, and public safety.
  6. Maintain accurate records of trips, patient information, and other relevant data as required by company policies.
  7. Provide basic assistance and support to patients during transport, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  8. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills, including defensive driving, emergency response, and medical assistance.

Requirements
  1. Possess a valid Class 3 driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience.
  2. Previous experience in defensive driving is highly preferred.
  3. Certification or experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is advantageous.
  4. Physically fit and capable of assisting with patient transfers.
  5. Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
