Senior Cloud Native Software Engineer

As a seasoned professional in cloud native architecture, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering complex web-based applications using Java, HTML/Javascript, ReactJS or other relevant technology stacks.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with clients to determine and confirm their business expectations and needs
  • Designing the infrastructure and system architecture to support the cloud native solution
  • Converting system requirements into software architecture and design documentation
  • Mentoring junior technical staff and leading the development team to develop and implement the proposed cloud native application

You will possess extensive experience in designing and delivering complex web-based applications, as well as expertise in one or more database servers such as Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, MySQL. Additionally, you will have knowledge of open-source frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, and be familiar with MVC design, Data modeling, Deployment & Build management, Data migration.

Furthermore, you will have working experience in Cloud Native Architecture with Microservices, Docker, Docker Swarm / Kubernetes, CI / CD, Domain Driven Design (DDD), API Design. Offshore Development experience is a plus, though not compulsory.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, particularly in Mandarin, as they will need to liaise with our Mandarin-speaking associates based in China (Suzhou). Candidates who are willing to travel will be considered for overseas assignments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent
  • Extensive experience in designing and delivering complex web-based applications
  • Expertise in one or more database servers such as Oracle, DB2, MSSQL, MySQL
  • Knowledge of open-source frameworks like Spring, Hibernate
  • Working experience in Cloud Native Architecture with Microservices, Docker, Docker Swarm / Kubernetes, CI / CD, Domain Driven Design (DDD), API Design
