Legal Advisor

A seasoned legal professional is sought after to join the organization's Southeast Asia team. As part of our expansion plans, we are looking for a versatile individual who can leverage their expertise in driving strategic outcomes and advancing commercial objectives across the region.

This role offers a unique opportunity to unlock growth by combining strong legal expertise with sharp commercial instincts.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of contract drafting, corporate governance, and compliance, as well as experience in cross-border transactions or the technology sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and Negotiating Agreements: Prepare, review, and negotiate commercial agreements to secure the best outcomes for the business.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks, minimizing litigation exposure and compliance costs.
  • CORPORATE GOVERNANCE: Prepare and maintain corporate governance documents, including Board and Shareholder meeting materials.
  • Compliance and Policy Development: Develop and refine internal compliance policies and control processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • International Law Expertise: Provide legal support on cross-border investments, intra-group transactions, and IP licensing activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Manage external counsel to ensure timely delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budgets.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Law or above, with legal qualification; Singapore bar admission strongly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant legal practice, with solid experience in contract drafting, corporate governance, and compliance.
  • Languages: Strong bilingual ability in English and Chinese, to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking senior stakeholders and investors.
  • Advantageous Skills: Prior exposure to cross-border transactions or experience in the technology sector will be advantageous.
