Job Title

Freelance Art Educator - Deliver Personalized Learning Experience

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver bespoke art lessons to students, tailored to their individual abilities, interests, and learning objectives.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that cover artistic techniques, color theory, design principles, and other essential concepts.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages students to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills.
  • Modify teaching methods to accommodate the needs of students with learning or special needs, ensuring equal access to opportunities.
  • Regularly assess student progress, adjust teaching approaches as needed, and provide constructive feedback to promote growth.
  • Introduce students to various artistic mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
  • Collaborate with families to keep them informed about their child's progress and suggest ways to foster artistic exploration at home.
  • Stay updated on current trends in art education and incorporate innovative techniques into teaching.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in multiple art forms and mediums, with a strong foundation in artistic techniques and design principles.
  • Experience teaching art to children, preferably in one-to-one settings.
  • A relevant degree or certification in art education, fine arts, or a related field is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and encouraging approach to teaching.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit diverse learning styles and individual needs, particularly for students with learning or special needs.
  • A passion for inspiring creativity and fostering artistic growth in children.

Compensation:
  • Part-Time Tutor: up to $60/hr
  • Full-Time Tutor: up to $90/hr
  • Early Childhood Educator: up to $70/hr
  • MOE/Special Ed Tutor: up to $140/hr
  • Enrichment Specialist: up to $120-150 per session
  • Therapist: up to $200-220/hr
  • Psychologist: up to $250/hr
  • Counsellor: up to $150/hr
