As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in their daily tasks. Your primary responsibility will be to process medication orders accurately and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively as part of a team. You will also need to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process medication orders in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
- Pick, pack, and label medications in a timely manner
- Count, sort, and type prescriptions accurately
- Perform billing functions and ensure accurate payment processing
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completion of a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) program or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
