Job Description

The Account Manager will be responsible for driving and executing institutional client initiatives in the South Asia region. The regional coverage includes all ASEAN, South Asia, and Central Asia markets. There may be an opportunity to provide secondary coverage in South Asia Global Wealth Management as needed.

This position is based in Singapore and reports to the Head of Greater China Institutional & South Asia Client Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Servicing/Management:
    • Acquire and oversee new and existing client relationships and mandates under coverage.
    • Take ownership of client relationships from front to back end, ensuring all investment, marketing, operational, compliance, and legal requirements are met.
    • Develop relationships with influential asset allocators and investment teams in key institutions.
    • Participate in formal portfolio client reviews, requiring deep technical and macro expertise.
  • Business Development/Growth:
    • Develop and execute a business plan for assigned client segments.
    • Position PIMCO's products and services to the assigned investor base with senior investment professional assistance.
    • Collaborate with the Lead Account Manager and client management team for relationship management coverage.
    • Develop a holistic business plan to deepen and broaden PIMCO's footprint in the region.
    • Maintain detailed knowledge of key business and strategic issues facing target channels.
Requirements
  • Proven record in growing and managing institutional client relationships in Singapore and SEA markets.
  • Outstanding sales closing, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in business development and servicing, focusing on meeting clients regularly and representing the firm at meetings and events.
  • Stature, gravitas, and seniority to operate at the highest level internally and externally.
  • Collegiate team player, experienced in international operating environments.
  • Deep technical knowledge and understanding of investment concepts, economics, and capital markets, with at least 6-8 years of relevant industry experience.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
