We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor (Tenure-track) to join our team at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of our Maritime Studies program, with a focus on engineering-related courses and research in areas such as Maritime Data Analytics, Marine Environment and Energy, Risk Management, Maritime Sustainability, Human Factors in Maritime Applications, Maritime Digitalization, and Maritime Technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate courses in Maritime Studies, with a focus on engineering-related topics.
  • Conduct research in areas related to Maritime Studies, with a focus on engineering applications.
  • Collaborate with faculty members from the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering to develop interdisciplinary research and education programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong industry connections and partnerships to support the growth of our Maritime Studies program.
Requirements
  • PhD degree in a relevant discipline, such as Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Expertise in areas related to Maritime Studies, with a focus on engineering applications.
  • Strong teaching and research abilities, with a proven track record of publication and industry engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and industry partners.
