Key Accountabilities:

The Patient Services Associate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Patient Services Office at Dover Park Hospice. This role involves handling various tasks, including patient referrals, admission, means testing, financial counselling, and billing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient referrals, ensuring timely processing and assignment to designated doctors
  • Communicate effectively with patients and/or their family members regarding the referral process and charges
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for patient admissions and maintain patient records in iHMS
  • Process means-testing documentation and follow up on incomplete documentation
  • Scan and upload means-test results onto IHMS and create data to input subsidy
  • Provide financial counselling to patients and ensure documentations are complete
  • Verify receipt of signed Medisave Authorisation Forms and update details into the system
  • Submit insurance/medisave claims and verify particulars and limits in various claims portal
  • Respond to enquiries on billings, deposits, and means testing
  • Support Homecare and Daycare admissions and discharges

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Nitec in Service Skills or GCE 'O' Level
  • Minimum 3 years' working experience in healthcare industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in navigating computer systems
  • Mature, dynamic, and self-motivated with ability to work with little supervision
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
