Internship Overview

At Marriott International, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Asia Pacific HR Operations team as an intern. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in talent management, talent acquisition, and learning and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the rollout of talent management initiatives, including performance management, human capital planning, and succession planning, within the Asia Pacific region
  • Assist area champions in driving talent management initiatives and ensure Marriott's talent management programs, practices, systems, and policies are in place and executed on property
  • Provide guidance on Marriott's online HR system and database to maintain accuracy and adherence to our human capital process
  • Support the rollout of talent and culture initiatives for Marriott International Luxury (MILUX) properties, including talent acquisition, talent management, and learning and development
  • Assist in internal HR communications, including webinar sessions, developing training resources, creating presentations, and generating reports
  • Analyze data and metrics to propose recommendations and drive project targets
  • Research latest HR trends on sourcing and talent planning methods and technology
  • Organize and participate in regional office associate events
  • Support the Talent Acquisition and Talent Management team on various projects and assignments as assigned

Learning Objectives

  • Gain a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and HR function, including talent acquisition, talent management, and learning and development
  • Develop professionalism in verbal and written communication with all stakeholders
  • Adapt communication style to collaborate with stakeholders from different Asia Pacific countries and cultures
  • Build strong relationships with co-workers, customers, and management stakeholders
  • Develop competency in Marriott recruitment and human capital systems and processes
  • Develop competency in driving talent and culture initiatives for MILUX portfolio
  • Organize and prioritize work efficiently
  • Develop problem-solving and project management skills to drive business outcomes

Requirements

  • Undergraduate in Human Resources, Social Sciences, Business Management, Economics, or Marketing
  • Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder, or valid student pass/work holiday pass
  • Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program or undergraduate/graduate of a university in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom, or United States
  • Prepared to commit to a six-month internship
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards
