We are seeking talented researchers to collaborate with us on a groundbreaking project focused on developing cutting-edge AI solutions. Our team is dedicated to advancing the field of reasoning and large language models, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in artificial intelligence.

The core team will work on Reinforcement Learning (RL) for pre-training and reasoning, frontier-level math/code, and push the bleeding edge of AI. We are tightly coupled with our teams in Mountain View, have incredible talent density, and are well-positioned to make a significant impact on humanity, science, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct critical research in RL and reasoning, proposing new algorithms and optimizing compute for improving Gemini's performance.
  • Serve as launch/model captains, training models to directly contribute to Gemini's success.
  • Innovate and leapfrog, anticipating future breakthroughs and building research agendas based on new paradigms.
  • Collaborate with our teams, driving research projects from conception to completion.
  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment, applying excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • PhD degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
  • Experience in software development, including one or more programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLM) and experience conducting research in RL or reasoning.
