Compliance Specialist

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough screening and due diligence reviews of prospects and referral partners before onboarding.

You will also conduct ongoing monitoring of existing clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and enhancing our Compliance framework within the company.

This includes conducting post-transaction reviews to ensure adherence to balanced scorecard requirements, regulations, and internal policies. You will also be responsible for tracking CPD training hours of licensed representatives and maintaining accurate record-keeping.

Furthermore, you will prepare and maintain compliance reports for management and regulatory reporting purposes. You will assess outsourced service providers and administer the Outsourcing Register of Outsourced Service Providers.

Last but not least, you will handle compliance-related queries from staff members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Business-related field. A minimum of 3 years of compliance experience in the financial services or insurance industry is required.

Meticulous, good analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for this position. Familiarity with the Financial Advisers Act (FAA), Insurance Act, MAS Notices/Guidelines, or Balanced Scorecard (BSC) framework is an added advantage.
