Teaching and Research Opportunities

We invite applications for a Lecturer position in the School of Engineering at Republic Polytechnic. As a Lecturer, you will have the opportunity to teach and conduct research in the areas of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver curriculum in the areas of Electrical and Electronic microelectronics specialisation track, as well as other Engineering disciplines.
  • Conduct Continuing Education and Training (CET) for Specialist Diploma and Part-time Diploma.
  • Supervise students' final year projects and internships, and collaborate with industry partners and universities.
  • Participate in academic research projects, R&D/Implementation projects or consultancy to the industry.
  • Mentor and motivate students in their learning journey.
  • Contribute to school activities such as service learning, outreach events, and student overseas trips.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Relevant industry experience in the electronics sector and cleanroom environment.
  • Proficient in developing curriculum and delivering lessons related to Integrated Analog and Digital Circuit Design, Semiconductor Fabrication, Process and Characterisation, and other Engineering discipline modules.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in domain areas such as Semiconductor process and Characterisation, Embedded Systems and Connectivity, Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality (AR, VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics & Automation, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).
  • Proficiency in using Minitab, Cadence, Arduino, C/C++, LabVIEW, Matlab, Python, or Raspberry Pi.
