Job Summary

The Prenatal Consultants Pte. Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and providing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Examination Preparation

Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information to ensure that the sonography examination order is complete and meets the standard of medical necessity.

Examination Conduct

Use proper patient positioning tools, devices, equipment adjustment, and ergonomically correct scanning techniques to ensure patient comfort and safety, and to prevent compromised data acquisition and musculoskeletal injury to the sonographer.

Image Acquisition and Analysis

Conduct patient clinical assessment and perform the ultrasound examination ordered by the supervising physician in accordance with professional and facility protocols.

Image Interpretation and Reporting

Apply independent, professional, ethical judgment, and critical thinking to safely perform sonography procedures and ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in the examination images.

Communication and Collaboration

Communicate with the patient in a manner appropriate to the patient's ability to understand and provide preliminary report of sonography examinations for use by the interpreting physician.

Quality Assurance and Improvement

Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with PDPA Act and assist with the daily operation of the sonography facility.

Requirements
  1. Education and Certification

A degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field and certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

Skills and Knowledge

Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles and techniques, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and software, as well as PACS and archiving systems.
