HSBC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Premier Client Team as a Vice President, Team Head. As a key member of our Wealth Management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Relationship Managers in managing our premier clients and achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Relationship Managers to ensure achievement of business objectives
  • Implement change and drive business strategies as an integral part of delivering business results
  • Nurture and activate team's portfolio of clients to fund up to Premier Balance, making referrals to Core RM teams
  • Educate the team to drive clients to adopt a Digital First approach, minimizing in-branch activities and educating customers to transition to digital and remote channels
  • Create and maintain an environment that maximizes team performance in achieving overall WPB objectives
  • Ensure business runs effectively and efficiently in accordance with the WPB operating model
  • Coach and guide RMs via the GROW model to upskill the team
  • Perform continuous team portfolio analysis to identify potential client leads and opportunities
  • Identify opportunities and gaps, crafting quick business strategies to achieve business goals
  • Work closely with Wealth Management team members to provide holistic solutions to onshore banking premier clients
  • Inspect team deliverables on a regular basis
  • Lead the team to self-source, develop new business by actively prospecting for new clients and referrals, and leveraging existing networks to generate New to Bank leads
  • Fulfill client needs while providing an exceptional client experience, measured by specific metrics
  • Ensure team adherence to KYC/AML and other compliance norms
  • Assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the bank, its clients, and assets

Requirements

  • Strong academic qualifications and over 8 years of work experience in Wealth Management with a proven track record of leading a team
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills to work individually and collaborate with stakeholders to meet team objectives
  • Highly driven and able to succeed in a challenging environment
  • Outgoing disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Down-to-earth and resilient individual with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset
  • Highly driven to excel and thrive in a challenging environment by recognizing customers' personal banking and wealth management needs
