As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end activities related to premium chasing, building reciprocal broker relationships, and providing underwriting teams with effective reporting and clear escalation channels.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage premiums that fall due or are overdue
- Send monthly broker statements and reconcile payments
- Liaise with underwriters, brokers, and management to progress the collection process
- Reconcile brokers' statements and payments made to offshore service centers
- Monitor and match receipts and unallocated receipts
- Liaise with the team responsible for Premium Booking/Resolving Discrepancies
- Accelerate the collection process on aged debt
- Engage with brokers on a regular basis to establish rapport and facilitate issue resolution
- Provide monthly reporting of credit control balances analysis
- Contribute to Middle Office management and underwriting reporting packs
- Adhere to internal company procedures, including administrative procedures, expenses, and health & safety
- Represent the AXA Group organization in a professional and appropriate manner
- Diploma or University degree in a relevant field
- Relevant work experience in the financial services industry
- Up-to-date appreciation of the technical requirements of the role
- Proven ability to identify and analyze problems, create solutions, and deploy sound decision-making skills
- Demonstrable evidence of interpreting and manipulating data clearly and accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data entry or data outputs
- Able to organize self and others, including effective scheduling, prioritization, and time management skills
- Comfortable taking ownership for own work and identifying the need for action
- Displays a resilient and adaptable style, with a track record of remaining calm in demanding circumstances
- Proven track record of providing consistently first-class customer service
- Ability to build effective working relationships and establish credibility amongst a wide and demanding client group
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to internal and external audiences
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Exposure to MAS reporting requirements
