Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead our team in designing and implementing robust database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data management, including integration, compliance, privacy, analytics, master data management, and metadata management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing databases in cloud Azure and AWS, ensuring seamless integration and scalability. They will also design and implement databases according to end-users' information needs and views, creating data models, primary and secondary keys, indexes, and views.

In addition, the Data Architect will write, code, and optimize store procedures and SQL statements to extract data for processing, ensuring fast query responses. They will collaborate with stakeholders to provide data imports and transfers, as well as connectivity to other databases.

The Data Architect will also prepare documentation and specifications, such as data dictionaries, ERD diagrams, and database schema. They will lead analysis, architecture, design, and development of application, data warehouse, data lake, and business intelligence solutions.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Snowflake, Cosmos (NOSQL), Databricks, Airflow, and related cloud solutions and architectures.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and architecture design trade-offs.
  • Experience with data architectures like Delta Lake and/or Lambda for designing data ingestion frameworks for real-time and batch processing.
  • 5+ years in data modeling (including Data Vault) and data architecture for enterprise data modeling across multiple subject areas.
  • Experience with conceptualizing and architecting data lakes on cloud-centric platforms; ability to articulate value and components of data lakes.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and relational database design and development; Python for data-intensive integration tasks.
  • Experience migrating data to cloud platforms (lift-and-shift).
  • Document database topology, architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Experience designing digital data platforms leveraging clickstream data from Google Analytics.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
